I went to see "The Box" last night with Josh. I don't recommend it. The suspense and thriller parts were great. The plot, however, left something to be desired. Also, there were many questions that were unanswered at the end of the movie. It just kept getting worse and worse until the credits rolled and I was more confused than ever.
Push
I saw the preview for "Push" before "Twilight" (which I saw twice: once by myself and once with Mary Jo) and thought that it looked pretty good. It seemed to be another super powers movie like "X-Men" or "Jumper", which I happen to like. I decided I would go see "Push" when it opened. I wasn't looking forward to much because I saw that the Rotten Tomatoes score was only 26%.
My new roommate Peter and I went to see it last night. It was surprisingly good. It had a good, unique story and there weren't any dead moments. It was nice and long, too, clocking in at just under two hours. I really liked this movie. If you like the TV shows "Heroes" or "The 4400" or movies like those named above, you'll really like "Push".
"Mummy 3" was ok
I think Rachel Weisz is the better Evie.
Missed it!
Damn! I just read that there was a scene in Iron Man after the credits! Ever since "X-Men: The Last Stand", I've stayed at movies through the credits just in case I miss something. Darren drove, though, so just as the credits were playing, he wanted to leave. If I had known there was another scene, I would have told him to stay!
Apparently, the scene, featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, was a teaser for the new Avengers movies coming out in a few years.
DAMMIT ALL TO HELL!
Updates
I saw "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" at the discount theater a few weekends ago. It was good, but it was lacking the mystery of the first movie.
Iron Man was totally awesome. I saw that Saturday with one of the roomies and his girlfriend.
The semester's over and it's time for me to pack and get moved. I'm not looking forward to it.
