So, last weekend was the campout!
Thanks Mel, Mike, Mary Jo, Lottie, Chris, Melinda, Steve, Minda, Matt, Robbie, Steve, and Mom and Dad for participating in some way!
Friday night was a bout of gambling at the casino. I lost $30. Mary Jo was the only one to come out ahead, with $4.10!
At about 2:30-3:00 in the morning, we put up the tent in my parents' back yard...
Saturday morning, I had to cut out for a funeral, but when I got back, we drove up to Houghton Lake and played Mini Golf. Melissa's brother Chris, his wife Melinda, and his friend Steve met us up there. Minda and Matt did too. Mary Jo, Mel and I golfed together. Mike kept score. Mary Jo won. I beat Mel by 4 strokes, I think.
After golfing, we took a stroll through the Haunted Mansion they have there. We all made Mary Jo go first. She started taking flash photos so we could see where we were going. I screamed so much my throat hurt.
After a late lunch at Coyle's, we went back to my parents'. Robbie and Steve were there. Lottie stopped by for a bit then Robbie and Steve took off. We had dinner around the fire at about 10:30pm. After dinner, we dashed to Midland to meet up with Lottie again to see "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" at a midnight matinee.
The movie wasn't all that great...
We got home and went to sleep.
Sunday morning, after driving to three stores to find some rafts, we went swimming in the pond. We got out when it the sky got dark.
My hearing in my left ear cut out at about this time.
We made some smores then went out to the Beaverton Tavern for dinner. It wasn't overly spectacular...
We went back to the 'rents' and everybody left.
I started my laundry and had mom take me to the emergency room in Gladwin. Turns out there was a chunk of wax the size of a Volkswagen lodged up against my tympanum. I was perscribed some ear drops.
We went home, I finished my laundry, and left to return to SVSU for work the next morning.
