I Want A Free iPod

I need five people to click the link below, sign up for an account, then create a new eBay account and bid on something. You don't have to place a winning bid. I bid on a PowerBook for $1.50 :) Then, after you've done that, all you need to do is refer five of your friends by providing them with your unique link and you can win an iPod too!

This really does work!

Yeah, unfortunately, it is called fork over your friends email addresses so we can sell them to the highest bidder. These things are the easiest and fastest way to accrue spam up the wazoo. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. :(

I did not fork over friends' email addresses. In fact, you don't have to send emails. You can provide a link instead (like I did).If you're worried about spam, get a new address for this one time.

Gratis Internet, the company behind freeipods.com, has positive feedback at the Better Business Bureau.

I've read around the internet and even in some forums to which I belong, about people who have gotten their free iPod from this program.

Sorry. I did not mean to offend you. My best friend sends me "get this free, get that free" all the time. I guess I am just used to those places having shady privacy policies, and I spoke too soon, assuming this was the same. Again, I apologize.

    Hey Randy,

That sounds like a great idea. I think I'll do it. And since we are at it, I have a very important matter to discuss with you.
See, my uncle, the late General Abu-Hati of the Democratic Republic of Equatorial Doofooszia has left me with the enormous fortune accumulated during his mandate as chief supreme of our national army.
    Unfortunately...

This is legit. It's a marketing stunt, not a e-mail harvesting scam. The only caveat is that your trial signup has to be valid. You could be out of luck if you create a second eBay account and eBay finds out. So make sure you sign up with an offer legitimately. And... don't sign up for the AOL offer... AOL is the devil. ;-)
