I have a strawberry cake in the oven. When it comes out, I'm going to turn it into a Jell-o cake. I have raspberry-flavored Jell-o; I figure the two berry flavors will taste good together.
Here's how to make a Jell-o cake:
- Bake a cake according to any recipe or box directions in a 13x9x2 inch pan.
- After the cake is cool, use a chopstick or the handle of a small wooden spoon to poke lots of holes through the cake.
- Mix a bix box of Jell-o (or 2 little boxes) with 2 cups of boiling water.
- Pour the Jell-o mixture evenly over the cake.
- Refrigerate the cake for three hours.
- Frost as desired with frosting or whipped cream.
